Modernization Mobile Apps
Problem
A content-heavy motorcycle portal needed mobile apps that could keep evolving while carrying legacy native code and API integrations.
My Contribution
Maintained and improved native app code, modernized UI and platform integrations, and continued evolving the Swift iOS version.
Technical Work
- checkWorked with legacy Java and Kotlin Android code while improving performance and Material Design compliance.
- checkUpdated and evolved the iOS app from Objective-C history toward Swift 5 workflows.
- checkIntegrated push notification and background synchronization behavior.
- checkKept portal content, forum, ads, articles, maps, and account features connected to REST APIs.
Outcome
The apps stayed maintainable enough to continue receiving platform and product updates instead of being abandoned as legacy code.
